Big day in Ho Chi Minh

Our first full day in Ho Chi Minh City started around 6am, although earlier for some who have not yet adjusted to the time change, and ended around 1am.

After a delicious international buffet breakfast, which was an experience in itself, we headed out for a self-guided walking tour of the city. Thankfully, we had dinner with Mike the night before and got a crash course on crossing streets.

We visited some well-known monuments and buildings, got totally ripped off buying coconuts, wandered along the canal, and almost got run over multiple times by scooters.

We headed back to the hotel for a swim once we hit a melting point (30+ all day) and then back out to the War Remanence Museum, which was very educational and powerful experience.

Once again, back to the hotel, for another cool down, and out to find Mike, An and their friends for dinner at a delicious restaurant in district 1, called O Tinh. The owner/chef was fantastic! Our final activity for the day was a shuffleboard tournament at one of Mike and An's favourite bars. Big day for all.
